My Approach

The D.O. Method: Evidence-Based Self-Discovery

Traditional programs implement various frameworks and put clients into boxes, designed around someone else's theory. The D.O. Method does the opposite it takes all that knowledge and discovery packaged in a way that helps you discover the framework you're already living by, often without realizing it, stripped back into simple language and simple steps.

I've built this approach on decades of psychological research, drawing from cognitive therapy (Beck, 1976), values science (Schwartz, 1992; Hayes et al., 2011), and emotional intelligence frameworks (Goleman, 1995). The key is, I've translated that research into something immediately practical: a three-step journey from recognizing your patterns to living more intentionally. Which results in less stress,  reduced anxiety, more clarity, higher emotional intelligence and the ability to own what you actually want, carve your path to reach your goals.

The science behind the steps:

The steps are build on established communication style research (Merrill & Reid, 1981) and Jungian psychological type theory. Rather than boxing you into a personality category, we help you understand your default responses and learn to access the full range of communication styles. This flexibility is what emotional intelligence research identifies as crucial for both personal wellbeing and professional effectiveness (Bar-On, 2006).

Values Discovery uses a behavioural evidence approach grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Self-Determination Theory (Deci & Ryan, 2000). Instead of asking what you think you should value, we examine how you react when something is important, where your energy, and emotion actually go. This distinction matters, research consistently shows that alignment between stated and lived values is one of the strongest predictors of life satisfaction (Wood et al., 2008).

The Belief Transformation work draws from cognitive behavioural therapy's proven methods for identifying and shifting limiting beliefs (Beck, 2011), combined with contemporary mindset research showing how our beliefs about capability shape our outcomes (Dweck, 2006). We organize beliefs into three domains: Self & Worth, Connection & Boundaries, and Expression & Agency based on schema therapy frameworks (Young et al., 2003) that identify the core patterns affecting how we navigate life.

What makes the D.O. Method distinctive isn't any single technique it's the integration. We've synthesized approaches from coaching psychology (Palmer & Whybrow, 2019), positive psychology (Seligman, 2011), and behaviour change science (Gollwitzer, 1999) into a coherent journey that feels natural rather than clinical. The result is a framework that honours both scientific rigor and human complexity.

This isn't therapy, and it's not a quick fix. It's structured self-discovery backed by evidence, designed for people ready to do the honest work of understanding themselves more clearly. Whether you're navigating a career transition, strengthening your leadership, or simply feeling the gap between who you are and how you're living this method provides the map.
